1. Invitations
You can take a piece of paper and a large banana. Then create a template by tracing around the banana on the paper. With the help of a template you can trace bananas on yellow card stock and use them as the invitation cards. 2. Decorations
The party room can be decorated with multi-hued green streamers. You can look for palm tree cutouts at party supply stores or online. Then you can hang plush monkeys and plush or real bananas around the palm trees. Buy brown raffia table skirts and tie them around your tables. 3. Games and Crafts
As your guests arrive to the party you can warm them up with a simple craft activity: a) Younger guests will have a lot of fun coloring fun monkey pictures.
b) Give girls various jungle color beads like greens, browns and yellow from which they can create beautiful bracelets. You can also include monkey and banana charms. c) You can ask the children to make magnetic monkeys from pipe cleaners and donut shape magnets. Party Games
1. You can arrange a Barrel of Monkeys contest.
Each player should race to connect as many monkeys as possible for a minute. The child whose monkey chain is the longest wins the game. 2. Play Monkey See, Monkey Do.
The children should sit in a large circle. Then ask one child to leave the group and choose another child to be the head monkey. The head monkey should lead the group in funny monkey moves for example they can pat their heads, or rub tummies, an others. But he or she should do this as secretly as possible. Then the child who has left the room returns to the group. She or he has to guess who the head monkey is. At this time the other monkeys in the circle mustn't look too obviously at the head monkey as they follow his lead. If the guesser finds out who the head monkey is, he or she returns to the circle and the head monkey becomes the next guesser. Treats for Special Little Monkeys
You can prepare and serve the foods to the children which you have mae by yourself or you can also allow the kids to create these treats themselves as a party activity:
