Scavenger Hunt Party
Decorate

Using balloons, streamers, festive paper products will brighten any room using earth tone colors like greens, browns, reds, yellows.

Food

  Jungle juice
  Fiery fruit kebobs
  Piney pretzels
  Finger sandwiches

Games

Of course the main activity is the actual hunt.
Make a list of items that can be found indoors or outdoors depending on the weather in your area.

Indoors:

  1 wooden spoon
  1 postcard
  1letter or envelope
  1 vegetable
  1 fruit
  1 sports related item
2 pictures with or w/o frames
  1 candle

Outdoors:

  1 acorn
  1 pine cone
  1 oak leaf
  1 dandelion
  1 stone
  2 sticks
  1 sprig from pine tree
  1 piece of bark
  2 berries
  1 garden tool

Have more than one of each item on hand depending on how many teams or individuals are involved. The team will finish first with all items listed wins! Honestly, have each team get a small prize for their effort.

Added Craft

If you have time and would like to add another activity, you could have them make pine cone bird feeders. Take a pine cone, roll or spread on peanut butter, and roll in birdseed. Run jute or ribbon through and hang on tree. Your guests may bring them home in a plastic baggie.
