| American Idol Party | American Idol Makeover Contest
In this fun party game the stylists (not the stars) compete for the winning prize.
Supplies:
- an instant camera and a timing device
- make-up
- brushes
- combs
- gel 
- hair accessories
Take instant pictures of everyone at the party and set aside. Pair them up and supply them with make-up and hair styling items. One team member in each pair will be the star, the other the stylist. Give every person a 15-minute time limit. After you announce, “Go stylists go!” stylists race to make up their stars before time is up. When the time runs out, take another set of instant pictures. Then say stylists and stars switch roles. Once you have taken “before” and “after” photographs of everyone, have everyone do a secret vote on who they think is the most stylin’ stylist. Award some unusual prizes.
Musical Microphone
Supplies:
- microphone (real or pretend)
- rockin’ music
Seat all party guests in a circle, and put on some music;
Pass around an microphone while music plays;
When you stop the music, player holding the microphone has to sing a short song;
Play until everyone’s had a chance to sing.
Musical Dress-up
Music stars love dressing up—sometimes even ten times during just one performance! Everybody gets to glam it up in this silly game.
Supplies:
- 2 decorated boxes filled with clothing, accessories and costume items (the more outrageous, the better; big clothes too!)
- masking tape and rockin’ music
Fill decorated boxes with fun and funky rock star wardrobes. Place these boxes on opposite ends of a room, and use masking tape to mark a circle in center of floor. Then ask everyone to walk around the circle while the stereo plays a rockin’ tune. When the music stops, players must rush to 1 of the boxes and put on 1 dress-up item. Go on until all items are gone. Encourage everyone to swap clothing items to better match the singer(s) they’ll be lip synching to.
