Your friends can dress up in different costumes and play act. A pirate party can become the perfect event for you. Setting the Stage
At first you should create the invitations which could have a pirate treasure map on one side and the other side should include the details of the party. You need to roll the invitations and tie them with thin cord. They can be mailed in a mailing tube.  Your home can be decorated in nautical motif. You should use fishing nets, crabs, lobsters, fish, and ships to complement the mood.
In the entryway or the buffet area you can hoist a Jolly Roger flag. Your party will be more interesting if you ask your friends to dress up as pirates or wenches. They can find the costumes in costume shops, especially at Halloween time or look for them in the Internet at web sites selling pirate paraphernalia. If your friends are not asked to dress up as pirates you can give the men pirate bandanas and eye patches, and give various beaded jewelry, bandanas and bangle bracelets to the women as they arrive. 1 Walk the Plank. You need to blindfold your guests and ask them to walk across a long 2 x 4 plank. This game should be played late in the evening. This game will bring a lot of fun especially after a little Planters Punch. The players who will manage to walk the plank without falling off can receive the prizes. 2. Play Capture the Flag. Use a pirate flag and paint over the picture with glow-in-the-dark paints. It will be more interesting to play in the dark. As you go along the rules can be changed. You can distribute water guns to all the players in order that they could attack the opposing players who are trying to take the flags. 3. A Treasure Hunt. Give the series of clues to your guests which will lead to a supply of treasure maps. The treasure maps should lead to the treasure which can be buried anywhere. This could be anything your budget allows: gold-foil chocolate coins, bottles of rum, theater tickets, etc.
