Jungle on a Log This version of “Ants on a Log” rules in the urban jungle! Ingredients: - celery, natural peanut butter and raisins - animal crackers
Cut celery into 5-inch lengths and fill with peanut butter; Put some raisins (ants) on top; Let kids place a few animal crackers in the peanut butter so they stand up. Then eat greedily!
Bat Fruit Salad Real bat food¬ – fruit - is the inspiration for this dish. This calls for a blend that tropical bats love. Since brown bats like bugs (a single brown bat can eat 600 mosquitoes in 1 hour!), add raisins and let kids pretend they’re bugs. Ingredients: - slice bananas, mangos and dates (if you can’t find mangos and dates, other fruits are okay, too) - raisins Simply blend the fresh fruit together in a large bowl and add raisins. Serve in cups.
Panda Cupcakes Especially cute served on our panda dessert plates. Ingredients: - cupcake mix, white frosting and black decorator gel - small round chocolate mint candies - small round chocolate cookies or candies (larger than the mints) - chocolate-covered raisins
You’ll also need cupcake wrappers and a cupcake tin. Bake cupcakes, cool and frost white. Close to center, place 2 chocolate mints side by side. Complete the eyes with dab of white frosting to the middle of each mint, then a dot of black decorator gel onto the white. For the nose add a raisin. Finish with 2 cookies tucked into the top of cupcake to form ears.
